 NERU (2023) - STORY OF JUSTICE

Malayalam cinema has proved its identity in Indian cinema and one such link in that chain is

"Neru".

This Mohanlal starrer film is a courtroom drama which is the story of getting justice for a blind girl.

A boy named Michael rapes a blind girl "Sara" taking advantage of her blindness. The story starts from there, then Michael getting caught, Mohanlal fighting the case, and there are other things that keep us hooked to this film.

But the most unique thing is how a blind girl identifies the culprit.

Sara is not blind from birth. She could see till the age of 12. But she became blind due to some disease. Sara had learned the art of making idols from her father. After becoming blind, her world became limited. That is why she put her entire focus on making idols. Therefore, it can be said that she became an expert in making idols.

Now let's come to how Sara identified her culprit.

Rape is no less than death for any girl. But Sara controlled herself at that time and controlled her emotions. Sara took her fingers on the face of the culprit i.e. Michael, and started imagining his face while moving her fingers on his face.

She knew that she cannot stop Michael. But she also knew that it is possible that tomorrow she can go and make a statue of Michael. So that it will be easy to catch him.

And the whole movie revolves around this thing. In the end whether she will get justice or not, you will know only after watching it, but this is a unique thing which is worth praising.

The mixture of emotions is the unique thing about this movie.
